I chose the Chicago Daily Tribune as one of my examples because the huge headline font along with the large picture is very eye-catching, even in black and white. The nameplate also included the newspaper's slogan, the price, the date, the edition/volume and of course the newspaper title. They made great use of a small amount of space.
For my second example I chose The Fresno Bee. It's nameplate included the title, which was also the website address as well, the area they cover, the date, the weather and also a link to subscribe online. The blue they used was very appealing to the eye and tied everything on the home site together.
