Postcards

I pulled this vintage one from www.vintagepostcards.com.

I really like this one. The railway is an iconic representation of our past, and this card with its grayed tones and soft edges has an old feel to it. It looks like a photo that has been aged, and the handwritten scripts along the bottom adds to the vintage feel of this card.

I got this one from www.postsecretarchive.com.

This one is cool. Obviously the shoelace heart is the focus, but the fact that it's formed from the laces of two empty sneakers lends a lonely air to it. I think Converse, I think kids. So this instantly meant to me "lonely kids dealing with love issues". And there's no color. In this sense, black and white to me = sad. Neat.
