Nameplates

The first nameplate I chose because I like the old english look. I think I like it more because the paper itself is so old so it adds to the effect. The headline is the most important element on this paper and its obvious because of the big bold type and the all capital letters.

The second nameplate I stuck with the "old english" feel. This front page also utilized a teaser, which automatically sparks an interest and the reader would want to read the article. The headline has some alliteration to it and I like the serif font.
